OMOLAYO CELEBRATES OKA DAY AS HE MOBILIZES SUPPORT FOR APC

In a bid to foster cohesion among party stakeholders in Akoko North West Constituency 1, The Senior Special Assistant, Administration to Honorable Minister of State for Youth Development, Omolayo Owoleye, on Friday, celebrated with the paramount ruler of Oka Akoko, H.I.M. Oba Dr. Yusuf Adebori Adeleye, Olubaka of Oka Land, all sons and daughters of Oka Akoko on this year's Oka Day.
The yearly celebration marks a great deal in Oka-Akoko as it signifies the unity that has always been a bedrock of Oka-Akoko, this year’s celebration like every other year witnessed a large turnout as the great hill city of Oka Akoko gathered to celebrate, and give thanks for another productive 365 days.
In his remarks, Omolayo appreciated the party youth leaders for shunning any form of protest or violence in Oka Akoko and its environs, he also made a rallying call to all party faithful and stakeholders to unite behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State.
While celebrating the annual Oka-Day, Omolayo also garnered resources to facilitate meeting across all eight wards in Oka Akoko, Akoko South West constituency 1, in a bid to foster a sense of inclusivity among youths and party members.
The meeting, according to him, is majorly aimed at strengthening party cohesion, addressing concerns, and inspiring youths to work towards a common goal. He urged all youth stakeholders in Akoko South-West Constituency 1 to work together in securing a resounding victory, paving the way for a brighter future for the state.
“I have come today to identify with my people and implore everyone to continue supporting the All Progressive Congress at the Local, State, and National level. The country is in a healing stage and we must all continue to support the government to ensure that this healing stage is completed”
“As we edge closer to the governorship election, we must look inward and ensure victory for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and our dear party, we must also embrace oneness as it is one of the important factors that guarantees victory” He opined.
Omolayo also highlighted the numerous youth focused initiatives of the Minister of State for Youth Development including the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA), the Nigerian Youth Helpdesk, The Corpreneur Initiative, The Green House initiative as well as the Student Loan scheme and the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) recently signed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He charged the youth stakeholders to take the good news to the people and ensure that they use the opportunity that has been made available to them.
In attendance at the consultative meeting was Hon Ayomaya Tunde, youth leader Akoko South West Constituency 1; Alfred Sunday, youth leader, ward 1; Daodu Olusola, youth leader ward 2; Agunloye Timothy, youth leader ward 3; Hon Adeoye Samson, youth leader ward 4; Aliu Yaya, youth leader ward 5; Atiaro Joseph, youth leader ward 6; Opaso Ademola, youth leader ward 7 and Abiodun Olotu, youth leader ward 8.
The Youth Leaders and Stakeholders appreciated the Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande and unanimously pledged their unwavering support and alliance to the party ahead of the election.
